内容：Accurate prediction of the future state of the atmosphere is becoming increasingly important for humans to properly act for all the lives on the earth to be well. Clouds and turbulence are key phenomena in the weather forecast and climate
prediction. Turbulent flow advects clouds, the clouds modify and drive the turbulence, and they interact over a wide range of space and time scales through thermodynamic and mechanical processes, resulting in the highly non-linear, non-equilibrium complex system, cloud turbulence. Recent progress in the research of cloud and turbulence enhances detailed knowledge of turbulence dynamics, mixing and transfer of heat and mass in clouds. A central idea of the present workshop is from microscopic to macroscopic, from a few but fundamental processes to multiple complex systems, and how to bridge between them. The goal is to get hints on how to “shake hands” with research on the other side. For this direction, new results obtained in state-of-the-art
research on clouds and turbulence are gathered, shared and tied to inspire new ideas and developments in the cloud turbulence research.
